Primary Legion Space Update Comes to Lenovo Legion Go

I'm Mikhailov from Mocmodel, a group of people who enjoy vintage video games and the gadgets that play them. When I last visited the Retro Handhelds website, we looked at the GameMT E6 Plus.

It's time to review the Lenovo Legion Go this week. This week, Lenovo's Legion Space received a significant update. Since many people, including Lenovo specialist Mister Petey of Retro Handhelds, still use this heavy handheld, let's look and see what has been updated.

Store

An entirely new store page suggests that Lenovo and Gamesplanet must have agreed. Legion Space is covered in the Gamesplanet logo. You can access Gamesplanet's VIP rates using a Lenovo account.

I haven't bought anything in this manner myself. If you choose this path, though, be sure you are buying a code for the right platform on which you wish to purchase a game. Not simply Steam codes are available.

Library

Thanks to Lenovo's enhanced gaming front, you can now launch games from several shops, including Xbox, Epic, Ubisoft, Steam, and GOG. You can also browse the games' file locations to add them manually. However, box art cannot be added right now.

If you are primarily a Steam user, there isn't much to persuade you to use this frontend instead of Steam Big Picture. However, this is a good frontend to start from if you have games from other shops.

Settings

Everything you need to adjust the power usage of your Legion Go is now available on the settings menu. You can see the CPU and GPU statuses and the fan speed in detail on the settings home page. Additionally, you can change the audio, display brightness and resolution, and fan curves for each power setting. Legion Go owners have been hankering after the ability to manually set TDP, which is available if you enter one of the two custom profiles.

Other options, such as turning on or off the power button light, can be changed manually. Turning on "Optimize Battery Charging" may significantly slow your battery's aging process.

Controllers

You may manually change the functions of each button on your Legion Go Joypads by going to the Controllers menu. You may greatly simplify your Windows experience by adding fundamental controls, such as left and right clicks to the back buttons. Additionally, you can use keyboard and gamepad shortcuts for specific game actions.

Additionally, using this option, you may adjust the LED illumination surrounding the joysticks, and the Legion Space app will change its colour to match. It's a good touch. The screenshots of Legion Space in this essay are green because my LEDs are green right now.

There are numerous options on the Controllers tab to customize your controllers to your preferences.

Quick Settings Menu

The fast settings menu, which provides access to most of the app's functions, appears over any game you are playing when you are not in the main app. Additionally, there are a few features like device shortcuts and a framerate restriction.

You can examine some of the choices in Quick Settings by looking at the screenshots above.

The Biggest and Best Change

Lastly, Mister Petey's preferred modification is that This is how the power-saving mode used to appear:

Considering how much has changed with this Legion Space Update, the Legion Go is easier to use as a gaming and vintage portable device and is also flashier. Thus, Lenovo's willingness to improve and innovate this high-end handheld is fantastic.
