muOS' Refried Beans' Comes to RG35XX SP and RG28XX
For Anbernic's RG35XX range of devices and music, one of the most sophisticated and methodically updated custom firmware has been updated to enhance certain modifications made in 2405 Beans. This update fully supports the popular RG35XX SP and its smaller cousin, the RG28XX.
The release page has an official changelog of new features. With RG35XX SP support, you can fully use the device's "lid-sleep feature," which puts it in sleep mode when it's closed and wakes it up on its own when it's opened.
muOS Changelog
With this upgrade, muOS becomes the third CFW to implement the lid-sleep feature; Shaun Inman's minUI and Black Seraph's GarlicOS are the others. On the release website, the muOS Team has provided a list of the most important changes:

Since the RG35XX SP was released, muOS, a new player in the custom firmware market, has been getting updates, bug patches, and modifications via its beta channels on their Discord around once a week. With every release, the development team refines and adds new features based on input from the community and private testing.
Additionally, Steward Fu's enhanced port of DraStic, which was initially developed for Miyoo devices, is included in Refried Beans. Steward significantly altered the game's original source to create a version that runs very well on comparatively low-powered vintage handhelds. When combined with the development team's addition of several RG35XX-specific enhancements, DS emulation on muOS should operate more fluidly and efficiently.
The community frequently provides input on problems and suggestions during Beans' development phase. Most of those have made it to the final release based on the changelog.

Themes, native Pico-8 support, and compatibility with popular standalone emulators, such as DraStic, Mupen64 Plus, and ScummVM for Nintendo DS, Nintendo 64, and point-and-click PC games, respectively, are typical features.
What's Next for muOS?
This update was intended to address and correct bugs in Beans, as evidenced by the title, which parodies the words of their most recent major release, 2405 "Beans." It also added support for consoles, which was introduced soon after the custom firmware was released. Please pardon any minor updates that Refried Beans could get in the upcoming weeks or months. The next big release will be 2407 "Banana," which the community decided upon in early June.
Although Banana's development has been underway since Beans' original publication, there is no expected release date. A version of muOS that fully supports Anbernic's XX range of consoles is finally available with the release of Refried Beans.
